It started out very calmly with a slow buildup, which I thought was nice until 0:15. Then when it changed up at 0:30 it turned into a completely different song. Another problem here with changing up the sounds to make them sound good together.

Then it happened again at 1:31 and at the very end of the song. You really, REALLY need to work on your transitioning, I can't stress that enough. You do make some good sounding music, but it still needs a lot of work. Just focus on improving.

P.S. A suggestion, if I may, the song before 0:15 sounded absolutely majestic. You should make that into a song of its own and keep the ambient sound throughout the whole song, don't make any transitions that turn into a techno song or whatever else. THAT would be a great song. But like I said, just a suggestion.

It's good that you're trying to change things up during this song to try to make it not so repetitive, but all of your transitions are very amateurish. The transition that happens at 1:15 is the worst of them all. They all sound like a new song is beginning. None of the changes really go together.

All of the transitions have good potential of their own, so that's why I'm giving you a couple of stars, but this song really needs some improvements.

It does have a nice retro alien game sound to it. I can picture this being a good soundtrack to a hop and bop platformer type game.

Like MysteriousPresence said, it does need more melodies to it. The song gets very monotonous. I also agree that it took way too long for a good melody to build up.

I think you just need to get comfortable experimenting with a bunch of different sounds for one song. it seems like your biggest issue with making songs is making sure that they don't get so repetitive.

Just keep on improving!

It has a really nice, chill vibe to it. However, I don't really like the beat. It sounds a little too high pitched and doesn't sound very pleasant to my ears.

Also, it gets too repetitive. If you were to change up the beat a few times over the course of the song it would make it sound not so unvaried.

Kalviter responds:

This one's part of a series of what are supposed to be instrumentals (For rappers and stuff, yeah I know, it's weird, allow me) so I'm not bothered about the repetitiveness.

The beat bit does interest me though, since the few other people I've had listen to it haven't mentioned it. I have remastered this one about seven times so it wouldn't surprise me if it needed redoing again. Thanks for listening!

It definitely sounds more like video game music than anything else. I can picture it being the soundtrack for a game that has something to do with scientists and laboratories. It has a mad scientist vibe to it.

It's not a bad song whatsoever, but it does kind of get annoying. The sound that sounds like screeching is what kind of makes it hard to listen to after a little bit. I think cutting down on that sound would improve this song.

Kalviter responds:

Yeah, I think you might be right about the saw thing. When you say cut down, do you mean solely volume-wise or smoothing the edge the sound has?

This such a nice, relaxing song that I can feel my eyes starting to close right now, haha.

Great loop, man. I can imagine myself just chilling outside in some warm weather while listening to this.

Migashi responds:

As always, thanks for the feedback!

I actually want to create a series of music therapy loops like this once finish 'Lost Time'... I'll probably make this the title track for the series.

Sounds very professionally done. Every time the song changes up it doesn't stray from the other parts of the song. No sound is too long or too short either.

The only part of the song that I don't really like is the "woo!" that kicks in a few times throughout the song. It's just something extra that isn't needed. It sounds out of place.

It takes skill to be able to keep changing things up and having it all sound fantastic. Every time you change up the sound everything sounds good together. Very Impressive!

The only thing I'd change about this song is that high pitched sound that first appears at 1:29 and shows up in a few other parts of the song should be removed. It just sounds too different from the rest of the song.

Other than that, terrific job!

Drewpy responds:

Thanks for the review! I'm stoked that you liked it, it's really encouraging so thanks so much!

It has some really nice, calm guitar playing, but it sucks that it sounds like it's fading out a little bit.

You had an interesting idea with the ascending and descending progressions, giving the listener two different tracks to listen to. You definitely get some points for creativity.

Migashi responds:

Thank you!

I have been considering a remaster... Melodically, and rhythmically, I love how it came out. But I do think the reverb needs a little TLC. A friend of mine told me it sounded like I used a crappy mic. That reverb is the culprit 100%

At first it sounded kind of eerie, but a good kind of eerie. Then at 0:23, I can see what Drewpy was talking about. The guitar definitely gives it a great beach vibe. Very chill and relaxing.

However, the techno sound that kicked in at 2:30 and lasted until 2:48 sounds distorted and very much out of place. It doesn't fit in with the song at all.

Besides that one con, this is a pretty good song. It keeps changing it up throughout the song, which is nice. Also, like I said before, it does have a great beach vibe to it and it's nice and relaxing.

Migashi responds:

Most relaxing moments in life end very abruptly while making little sense. That's what I wanted to convey :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the feedback!

You can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning.
